Plastic Free July

A big shout out to Plastic Free July! We’re really proud to be part of this global movement by choosing to refuse single-use plastics at home, at work, in schools and in cafes. We love that anyone can get involved. You can start out small, or really challenge yourself!

Plastic Free July helps encourage millions of people, just like us here at Mighty Brew Kombucha, to be part of the solution to plastic pollution. Did you know that typically, for every one bin-full of waste generated, 70 bin-fulls was generated upstream in making it?! That makes it super important to reduce waste wherever we can.

That’s why we do our very best to make sure we produce as little waste as possible. Wherever we can, we follow the three R’s (reduce, reuse, and recycle) to help create a more sustainable future for our planet.

Our delicious kombucha comes in glass bottles, with lids that are PVA and PVC free. These glass bottles can be re-used many times over and fully recycled. All the cardboard and paper packaging that comes with the ingredients we source is recycled and reused for the packing and preparing of online orders. When our kombucha is packaged for stores the cardboard boxes we use are made of unbleached, corrugated cardboard with no plastic packaging. In addition all our cleaning products are 100% plant based and biodegradable. We are always looking at further ways to go beyond carbon neutral to become carbon negative.
